Download Aerium Browser

Aerium Browser removes all telemetry, bundled Google services, and background pings from the browsing experience. Updates are checked manually, never silently in the background. The Chrome Web Store remains available for extensions, including Manifest V2 on Android. Default search engines include Startpage, DuckDuckGo variants, and SearXNG, with no query logging middlemen.

HTTPS upgrades happen automatically in Balanced Mode without aggressive full-site warnings. The Global Privacy Control signal is sent on every page load without requiring configuration. Privacy flags for fingerprinting resistance and reduced system info are listed visibly on first run instead of being enabled without user knowledge.

Android versions keep media playing when the screen is off or the browser is backgrounded, overriding Chromium's standard suspension behavior. Widevine DRM registration is manual, not automatic. Desktop editions include Aerium Guard modes, ephemeral cookie deletion on exit, and a documented patch list at chrome://aerium that shows every modification applied to the upstream Chromium source.
