A free account gives you three hostnames under No-IP domains, which is enough for personal use. Paid subscriptions add custom domains, extra hostnames, and email services. The software runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and many routers include native support for No-IP credentials.
The update client sits in the system tray and performs checks at regular intervals. If the IP changes, the new value is sent to No-IP servers immediately. This automatic process prevents broken connections and makes home networks reachable from any location with internet access.
