ProgDVB serves as a desktop application for receiving and recording television from multiple sources. It connects to satellite dishes, cable networks, terrestrial antennas, and IPTV servers. The program reads EPG listings and displays subtitles for many channels. Recorded streams are saved locally without recompression.
The software works with hundreds of tuner devices through BDA drivers and native interfaces. A channel list includes thousands of internet stations. The application can operate without any tuner hardware by using internet streams or local files as sources. Network broadcasting sends received channels to other devices on the same subnet.
The program includes time shifting, picture-in-picture, and mosaic preview tools. Audio adjustments come from a ten-band equalizer. Skins change the main window and on-screen display appearance. Both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows builds are available for download.
