ProTimer functions as a standalone show control timer. The application manages countdown, elapsed time and exact clock targets with visual warnings before zero. A rundown system keeps planned start times and an over/under indicator visible during the event. The operator works from a separate control panel while audience outputs stay clean and frameless.
The program includes remote operation through phone QR codes, Bitfocus Companion, OSC and an HTTP API. Output windows can be assigned to grid cells or sent to fullscreen without moving the operator preview. An OBS Browser Source mode places the timer as a transparent overlay above existing video content.
Development started in 2023 with a focus on real production requirements. The application is written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and packaged for desktop use on macOS and Windows. Local network operation remains the primary path for controlling and viewing timers during live events.
