DesktopTools is a screen utility suite for Windows 11 that handles capture, recording, and presentation tasks from one installed application. It takes screenshots of regions, windows, or monitors, records screen activity with voice and system sound, and adds arrows, shapes, or text to images before they are shared. Drawing tools, a laser pointer, and a spotlight work on top of any open application.
DesktopTools also includes text recognition, local translation between English and Russian, floating notes that can follow another window, and a teleprompter for spoken walkthroughs. Smaller jobs such as image editing, video editing, background removal, color picking, and QR code creation are covered by the same toolkit. Shortcuts and favorite tools provide access from the notification area.
All processing of screenshots, notes, recognized text, translations, and background removal takes place on the local computer. No account is required and no telemetry is collected. The release provides an installer and a portable ZIP with published SHA-256 checksums. Development is handled by vg2222, and the program is distributed under the MIT License.
