FakeCam is a Windows virtual camera that puts a chosen video, image, animated GIF, screen region, window or recorded loop into any application that reads a webcam, including Zoom, Teams, Meet, Discord and Skype. The virtual device runs beside the physical camera, so the user picks the FakeCam input inside the target program and the selected source becomes the camera picture for that call.

The playlist holds several items and advances through them automatically, with drag-and-drop ordering and thumbnail previews. Screen and window capture make the desktop available as a camera feed in programs without screen sharing, the mouse pointer can be shown or hidden, and AFK mode covers the seat with a short recorded loop and returns to live video without a visible cut.

The installer sets up the virtual camera in one click and a portable ZIP build is also provided. Version 2.4 addressed a crash on broadcast stop and on saving a recorded clip, added pointer display to screen capture, and made window capture recover by itself after a graphics driver reset, with earlier releases adding Turkish, in-app feedback, stable language saving and hardware-accelerated 1080p playback at 50 and 60 fps.
