Download MAKID
MAKID functions as an organizational layer for Ableton Live sessions without altering the original project files. It reads folder structures and metadata, creates a searchable database, and links exported audio to the corresponding sets. The application focuses on reducing time spent locating versions and recalling the context of past sessions. Desktop usage remains free, while mobile synchronization is offered through paid subscription tiers.
The software targets music producers who maintain many active Ableton projects simultaneously. Instead of relying on folder naming conventions and manual file browsing, MAKID provides automated scanning and a unified library view. Notes and tags attach directly to project entries, so written feedback stays connected to the relevant session. Bounce playback inside the app supports rapid review of exported material without launching the DAW.
MAKID extends project review beyond the studio through its iOS companion application. Synced bounces appear on the phone with their project notes, enabling listening and commenting from any location. The sync model is private by default, with no public sharing or social features. The subscription-based mobile access includes a free trial period and is priced from $7.99 per month.
