A dry-run mode previews every change before it is applied.
The tool organizes its work into modules that target specific problem areas, from temporary file removal and disk checks to Windows Update reset and network stack repair. It also handles autostart entries, security audits, driver inspection, debloating, printing issues, boot configuration, Office and browser repairs, user folder backups, optional features, winget updates, hardware sensors, and deep cleanup. Risk levels and restore points add a layer of safety.
PortableFix is built for technicians and advanced users who need a consistent repair toolkit on removable media. It logs every action, generates HTML reports, supports undo for reversible operations, and can auto-update when running as a packaged executable. The application is written in Python with a PySide6 interface and executes its repair actions via PowerShell, keeping the core logic separate from the action definitions.
