Outlook mailbox connection. NOSA Desk links directly to one or more Outlook mailboxes and folders that you select. It reads email content, metadata, and timestamps without altering the original messages. The connection is local, meaning no email data leaves your machine unless you explicitly enable an external AI service. This function forms the base for all other features, as it supplies the raw email data for analysis and extraction.
Deadline detection. The program scans email bodies for date and time expressions that indicate deadlines, such as "by Friday", "before 5 PM", or "due March 15". It converts these expressions into structured deadline entries, showing the exact sentence and the email source. You can then accept a deadline as a calendar event or task, or reject it. This function reduces the risk of missing time-sensitive commitments buried in long email threads.
Promise tracking. NOSA Desk identifies statements where you or another person commit to an action, for example "I will send the report tomorrow" or "We will review your request next week". It extracts the promise, the responsible party, and the implied or explicit due date. You see a list of promises made by you and to you, each linked to the original message. This helps you follow up on obligations without manually re-reading every email.
Waiting-for-reply detection. The application flags emails where you have asked a question or requested information and have not yet received a response. It compares sent messages with incoming replies, using subject lines, conversation threads, and timestamps. The result is a list of pending replies, each with the original request text and the elapsed time. You can mark an item as resolved when a reply arrives, or dismiss it if no longer relevant.
Task creation from findings. Any detected deadline, promise, or waiting-for-reply item can be converted into a task with one action. No finding is presented without its source, so you always know why an item appeared.
Local reading and searching. All email reading, indexing, and full-text search run on your computer. No email content is sent to external servers for these operations. Search covers subjects, senders, recipients, body text, and detected findings. You can filter by date range, folder, or finding type. This function ensures privacy and speed, as no network round-trip is required for daily queries.
Local deadline calculation. Deadline detection and date parsing use local algorithms and rule sets. No cloud service is involved. The program calculates remaining time, overdue status, and upcoming deadlines based on your system clock and time zone. You can override any detected date manually. This function keeps time-sensitive analysis private and available offline.
