WorldSync

WorldSync — Free Download. Cloud Game saves

WorldSync is a Windows application that keeps co-op survival game worlds available to an entire group instead of one host PC. It links each supported game’s save folder to a cloud directory the group already shares, so the newest save travels with whoever launches the game next. The program identifies save locations, sorts worlds by last play time, creates invite codes, displays live presence, and stores a backup before any overwrite. Supported titles include Valheim, Palworld, Enshrouded, V Rising, Core Keeper, Sons of the Forest, Grounded, Raft, 7 Days to Die and RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

  • Cloud-hosted world rotation. The core mechanic moves the active world between group members through a shared cloud folder on Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. When a player opens a supported game, WorldSync detects the newest save, places it into the correct local save path, and records the session so the next host receives the updated world after the current player exits.
  • Automatic save folder discovery. The application scans standard installation and user data directories for each supported game. It maps the exact save location, world container format and file naming pattern used by that title, which removes manual path entry and prevents a save from being placed into the wrong game directory.
  • World list sorted by last played. Every detected world appears in a single list ordered by the most recent play session. The list shows which game the world belongs to, when it was last hosted and which group member last wrote to it, so the group can choose the correct ongoing campaign without opening each game separately.
  • Invite code joining. A host generates a short invite code tied to the shared folder. A friend pastes that code into WorldSync, and the program adds the cloud folder to the correct drive client and connects the local game installation to the group's world pool. No manual folder sharing or path configuration is required from the joining player.
  • Live presence and turn passing. WorldSync reports which group members are currently in a world. A player can mark "I've got next" to reserve the following session, and the program passes the turn with tray notifications when the active host quits. Optional Discord, Slack and ntfy webhooks send the same status to group channels outside the app.
  • Two-way conflict checking. Before any save is overwritten, WorldSync compares the local file set against the cloud copy in both directions. If the cloud version is newer, the program warns the player. If the local version is newer, it warns the group. If the two sides belong to different games or incompatible world versions, the overwrite is refused.
  • Backup before every overwrite. Each sync operation creates a timestamped backup of the save being replaced. The backup is stored in the shared folder, so any group member can restore an earlier world state. This covers accidental host switches, interrupted uploads and save corruption during transfer.
  • Named checkpoints and group history. Players can create named checkpoints at important moments, such as before a boss fight or a major base build. The shared folder keeps a group-visible history of checkpoints and automatic backups, which allows the group to roll back to a specific point rather than the most recent file.
  • One-click update publishing. A group member can publish a new WorldSync build directly to the shared folder. Other members see an Update bar inside the application and install the new version with one action. This keeps every participant on the same release without sending installers through separate channels.
  • Per-game visual themes. Each supported title has a distinct interface theme drawn by the application. Valheim uses an aurora palette, V Rising uses a blood moon palette, and Core Keeper uses a pixel cave style. The theme changes the window background and accent colors when a world from that game is selected.
  • Step-by-step setup guides. For every supported game, WorldSync includes a guided setup sequence that explains where the save folder is, how the cloud client should be configured and which folder must be shared with the group. The guide is specific to the selected game and cloud provider.
  • Anonymous usage reporting with opt-out. The GitHub build sends anonymous reports by default, covering which game was used and whether a sync completed. The reports never include player names, world names or file paths. A single checkbox in Settings disables all reporting.

WorldSync was created by developer AndorManu and first released in 2023. The program was written in C# for Windows, using the .NET runtime and native Windows file system APIs for save detection and cloud folder monitoring. The initial versions focused on Valheim and V Rising, where the host-bound world model caused the most disruption for groups. Later releases added Palworld, Enshrouded, Core Keeper, Sons of the Forest, Grounded, Raft, 7 Days to Die and RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
