Arcane Powered is a gaming application for PC that combines a game store, launcher, downloader, library manager, cloud save system, achievement tracking, social features, and a player-to-player resale marketplace. It enables players to manage games from multiple launchers and emulators in one place, while offering publishers a lower commission structure and the ability to earn royalties from digital resales.

Unified Game Library. The unified game library aggregates titles from eleven different launchers, games installed outside of launchers, and over fifty emulators into a single organized collection. This function scans local drives, detects installed games automatically, and presents them in a consistent interface regardless of their original source. Players can browse, filter, and launch any game directly from this central hub, eliminating the need to open multiple client applications. The library supports manual additions for titles that detection may miss, and it maintains metadata such as playtime, last launch date, and installation path for every entry.
Automatic Cloud Saves. This function provides five-level save detection that monitors game save directories across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. When a game writes new save data, the system creates a backup automatically and uploads it to cloud storage. An offline queue ensures that saves made without an internet connection are synchronized once connectivity returns. The detection mechanism uses file signatures, known folder paths, and heuristic analysis to locate save files even for games that do not follow standard conventions. Emulator save files are also supported, with file-by-file versioning that tracks changes at the individual file level.
Version Manager. The version manager maintains a dated history of every save file version uploaded to the cloud. Each version is timestamped and stored separately, allowing players to view a per-version diff that shows exactly what changed between two points in time. Restoration can be performed from any PC connected to the account, making it possible to recover progress after a hardware failure or a corrupted save. The system retains versions according to the player's subscription plan, with free accounts keeping three versions per game and premium accounts retaining ten.
Conflict Resolution Screen. When save files from two different machines diverge, the conflict screen presents the player with a clear comparison of both versions. The player can choose to keep one version, keep the other version, or merge both into a single combined save. This function prevents accidental data loss when the same game is played on multiple computers without immediate synchronization. The screen displays timestamps, file sizes, and a summary of differences to support an informed decision.
Exclusion Rules. Exclusion rules allow players to specify which files and folders should not be tracked by the cloud save system. Cache directories, log files, and screenshot folders are excluded by default to reduce storage usage and avoid syncing irrelevant data. Players can add custom exclusions for any game, giving them control over what gets uploaded. This function ensures that only meaningful save data consumes cloud storage space.
Collections System. Collections provide a way to organize games using smart, manual, or hybrid rules. Smart collections apply any of eighteen different criteria, such as genre, playtime, installation status, or launcher source, to build dynamic lists that update automatically. Manual collections let players hand-pick games for custom groupings. Hybrid collections combine both approaches, allowing a base set of criteria with manual additions or removals. This function supports sorting, searching, and quick access to frequently played titles.
Storage Manager. The storage manager displays disk space usage per drive and per game across every PC linked to the account. It identifies large installations, duplicate files, and games that have not been played recently. Players can use this information to decide which titles to uninstall or move to another drive. The storage manager updates in real time and provides a consolidated view that spans multiple computers, helping players maintain control over their available disk space.
Save Sharing. Save sharing enables players to send their save files to a friend or generate a shareable link. This function is available on Plus and Pro subscription tiers. Recipients can import the shared save directly into their own library, provided they own the corresponding game. Save sharing supports both individual files and complete save sets, and it includes options for setting an expiration date on shared links.
Subscription Plans. Arcane Powered offers Free, Plus, and Pro plans with a fourteen-day trial period. Prices are adapted per country to reflect regional economic conditions. The Free plan includes seven gigabytes of cloud storage and three save versions per game. The Plus and Pro plans increase storage to one hundred gigabytes, allow ten versions per game, enable save sharing, and provide early access to beta features. Plan management is handled within the application, with clear indicators of storage usage and feature availability.
Emulator Save State Support. Emulator save states are supported in beta for Plus and Pro subscribers, with a planned release for all users. This function captures the exact state of an emulated game, including memory contents and processor state, and stores it in the cloud. Players can resume an emulated game from the precise moment it was saved, on any compatible machine. The system handles save states from multiple emulator applications and maintains version history for each state.
Open Compatibility Database. The open compatibility database collects folder locations and configuration details confirmed by players for various games and emulators. This database is browsable by everyone and serves as a reference for save file locations, installation paths, and known issues. Contributions from the community expand the database over time, improving automatic detection for all users.
Mod Manager. The mod manager handles load order and conflict detection between installed mods. It identifies which mods override the same game files and warns about potential incompatibilities. Players can adjust load order, enable or disable individual mods, and view detailed information about each modification. The mod manager integrates with the game library, so modded titles launch with the correct configuration.
Guides, Forums, and News. Each game in the library includes access to guides, forum discussions, and news articles specific to that title. This function aggregates content from community contributors and official sources, presenting it alongside the game entry. Players can read walkthroughs, ask questions, and stay informed about updates without leaving the application.
Arcane Store. The Arcane store is planned for the first quarter of 2027 and will offer game editions, downloadable content, and regional pricing. Publishers can list their titles with multiple editions and configure pricing per region. The store integrates with the library, so purchases appear immediately in the player's collection.
Resale Marketplace. The resale marketplace allows players to sell digital games they no longer wish to keep. The platform estimates a fair price for each listing, and the original publisher receives a royalty on every resale. This function addresses the inability to resell digital purchases that exists on most platforms. Transactions are handled within the application, with the marketplace maintaining a record of ownership transfers.
SDK for Studios. The software development kit provides tools for sessions, achievements, presence, and lobbies. Studios can integrate these features into their games to enable cooperative play and multiplayer functionality. The SDK includes documentation and sample code for common scenarios. It is designed for publishers, developers, distributors, and co-publishers who hold flexible account types within the Arcane Powered ecosystem.
Publisher Dashboard. The publisher dashboard presents sales and royalty reports in a consolidated view. Publishers can track revenue from new sales and resales, monitor commission rates, and access detailed transaction histories. The dashboard supports multiple account roles, including developer, distributor, and co-publisher, each with appropriate permissions.
DRM Options. Digital rights management options are available for publishers who wish to protect their titles. The system supports configurable DRM settings that balance protection with player convenience. Publishers can choose the level of restriction applied to their games, and players can see DRM status before purchase.
Arcane Powered was created by the development team at Arcane-Powered, with the project beginning in 2024. The program is written primarily in C++ and Rust, with additional components in Python and TypeScript for specific subsystems. The development team includes engineers with backgrounds in game distribution, cloud infrastructure, and emulation software. The project started as a response to two specific problems in the digital gaming market: the inability of players to resell digital games and the standard thirty percent commission that platforms charge on every sale. The first beta version shipped in 2025 with support for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Subsequent updates added emulator save detection, the version manager, and the conflict resolution screen. The team continues to build features that were announced at launch, including the store, resale marketplace, and SDK for studios.
