QCAD is an application for computer aided drafting in two dimensions. It provides tools for creating technical drawings such as building plans, interior layouts, mechanical part schematics, and complex diagrams. The software supports the AutoCAD DXF file format natively for saving and importing files, with DWG support available as a commercial plugin. It is distributed in two editions: a free Community version and a Professional version that adds scripting and advanced polyline capabilities. The program includes layers, blocks, thirty-five CAD fonts, TrueType font support, various metric and imperial units, printing to scale, and a part library with over 4800 CAD parts.
