  • Health Check. The health check feature performs a deep analysis of the computer to detect outdated drivers, disconnected devices, and residual files. It consolidates all found issues into a single interface where each problem can be fixed individually. This module also identifies third-party driver leftovers that can conflict with current hardware, and it offers the ability to uninstall devices that are no longer connected to the system, which reduces boot time and prevents resource conflicts.
  • Automatic Driver Updater. This function scans installed hardware components and compares their driver versions against an online database containing more than 50 million entries. It downloads and installs the newest compatible versions without requiring manual searches. The updater also provides access to all available driver versions for a specific device, allowing users to roll back to a previous version if a newer driver causes instability or performance problems.
  • Driver Backup and Restore. Driver Fusion creates compressed backups of all installed drivers or selected devices. These backups can be stored locally or on external media. The restore function uses these archives to reinstall drivers after a system reinstall or hardware change. Users can restore individual drivers or complete sets, and the feature also supports installing drivers from the built-in database when local backups are unavailable.
  • Driver Cleaner. The driver cleaner removes residual files, registry entries, and software components left behind after uninstalling a driver. It targets entries that were installed at any time for a specific device, preventing startup errors and stability issues. This feature is essential when installing a new graphics card or network adapter, as it eliminates conflicts between old and new driver packages. All essential device classes are supported, including mice, keyboards, and storage controllers.
  • Advanced Protection. Advanced protection automatically creates a backup of system files, settings, and the desktop before any critical change is made to the computer. This includes restoring points that can revert the system to an earlier state if a driver update fails. The history log records every action performed by Driver Fusion, and each action can be undone individually or through a complete system restore.
  • Device Monitor. The device monitor displays real-time sensor data from installed hardware, including power usage, temperature, and clock speed. It tracks current and past performance of the processor, graphics card, motherboard, memory, hard drive, and cooling fans. The feature also reports critical disk information such as the number of reallocated sectors, which helps predict hard drive failure before data loss occurs.
  • Device Control. Device control provides a detailed view of all installed devices and their associated drivers. It shows used resources, files, problem codes, and physical locations for each hardware component. This module allows users to enable, disable, or remove devices directly from the interface, and it supports troubleshooting by displaying the exact error state reported by the operating system.
  • Scheduler. The scheduler automates health checks and driver scans at regular intervals. By default, a background check runs every two weeks, but users can select from four different frequency options in the settings. Notifications appear only when issues are detected, reducing interruptions during normal computer use. All scheduled tasks are logged and can be reviewed in the history section.
  • Driver Database Access. Driver Fusion includes direct access to a proprietary driver database with more than 50 million entries covering all major hardware manufacturers. Each device entry lists all driver versions ever released, allowing users to compare release dates, supported operating systems, and file sizes before downloading. The database is updated continuously to include newly released hardware and driver updates.
  • Disconnected Device Removal. This feature scans the system for ghost devices that remain registered in the operating system but are no longer physically connected. Removing these entries improves boot time and eliminates conflicts when a new device is connected to the same port. The function also cleans associated driver packages that may still load during system startup.
  • Third-Party Driver Cleanup. Driver Fusion identifies driver packages installed by software that is no longer present on the system. These orphaned drivers often remain in the driver store and can cause conflicts with active hardware. The cleanup process removes only unused packages while preserving drivers required by currently installed devices.
  • System Restore Integration. The program integrates with the native system restore functionality of the operating system. Before any driver update or removal, a restore point is created automatically. Users can revert the entire system to a previous state directly from the Driver Fusion interface, without accessing external recovery tools.

Driver Fusion was developed by Treexy, a software company focused on system utilities for the Windows platform. The program was first released in 2010 as a driver management solution aimed at resolving common issues caused by outdated or corrupted drivers. The codebase is written in C++ for performance-critical operations and C# for the user interface layer. Development has continued steadily since the initial release, with major versions introducing the driver database, device monitor, and advanced protection features.
