Beviamolo

Beviamolo — Free Download. Wine Cellar manager

Beviamolo is a smart wine cellar management application for Android, Windows and Linux. It allows collectors and enthusiasts to catalogue bottles by searching for a wine or producer name, or by photographing a label for automatic AI recognition. Each bottle receives a physical position within a visual cellar grid, covering shelf, row and slot. The app also suggests food and wine pairings based on the dishes being prepared, retrieves vintage scores and reviews from authoritative guides, and tracks opened bottles, ratings, tasting notes, wishlists and gifted bottles. Badges mark milestones such as the first bottle added, the fiftieth bottle, or a full year of use. Existing catalogues can be imported from Excel or CSV files, with column recognition and automatic enrichment. The wine and producer database is shared across users and improved by AI over time, while individual wine sheets can be personalised privately.

  • Label recognition via AI. The application uses the device camera to photograph a wine label. The AI engine analyses the image, extracts the wine name, producer, grape varieties, vintage and tasting notes, and adds the bottle to the catalogue with all fields pre-filled. This function removes manual data entry for new bottles and works in low-light conditions such as a dim cellar.
  • Search by name or producer. A text search field accepts the wine name or the producer name. The app queries the shared catalogue and returns matching entries with complete details. The bottle can then be added to the user's cellar with a single action. This function is intended for users who know which wine they own and want to register it without photographing the label.
  • Physical cellar map. Each bottle is assigned a position defined by shelf, row and slot within a visual grid. The application supports multiple cellars, each with its own shape and location. The map shows every bottle at a glance and allows filtering by status, type, vintage or format. This function answers the question of where a specific bottle is stored.
  • Food and wine pairing suggestions. The user describes a dish being prepared. The AI evaluates the bottles currently present in the cellar and proposes the best matches, explaining why each wine pairs well with the dish. The suggestion also indicates whether the bottle is ready to drink now, still too young, or past its ideal window. This function uses only bottles already owned by the user.
  • Vintage scores and expert reviews. For each bottle in the cellar, the AI retrieves reviews and scores from authoritative guides and experts, specific to the vintage of that bottle. The information is displayed on the wine sheet. This function gives the user access to professional evaluations without leaving the application.
  • Import from Excel or CSV. Users who already maintain a cellar catalogue in a spreadsheet can import it directly. The AI recognises the columns, maps them to the correct fields, and enriches every row with additional data such as grape varieties, tasting notes and pairing information. This function transfers an existing collection into the application without retyping entries.
  • Label photo archive. Every bottle can store its own photograph of the label. Images are saved in the cloud and remain accessible from any device at any time. This function preserves the visual record of special or rare labels alongside the technical data of the wine.
  • Opened bottle tracking. When a bottle is opened, the user records the event with a personal rating, the occasion and tasting notes. The history of opened bottles remains available for later reference. This function builds a personal record of consumption and preferences over time.
  • Wishlist and gifted bottle log. The application maintains a wishlist of wines the user wants to acquire, and a separate log for bottles given away as gifts. Both lists are stored alongside the main cellar catalogue. This function separates owned bottles from desired or gifted ones.
  • Milestone badges. The application awards badges for reaching milestones such as adding the first bottle, the fiftieth bottle, or completing a year of use. Badges appear in the user profile. This function provides a record of activity and progress within the application.
  • Shared and editable wine database. Wine and producer data comes from a catalogue shared across all users and enriched by AI over time. Users can report mistakes in the shared records. Any wine sheet can also be personalised privately, with changes that do not affect the shared version. This function combines collective data with individual customisation.
  • Multi-cellar management. The application supports more than one cellar, each with its own shape and location. Bottles are assigned to a specific cellar and position. This function is intended for users who store wine in separate places, such as a home cellar and an off-site storage unit.
  • Monthly AI-credit allowance and Premium tier. The free version includes a monthly allowance of AI credits for label recognition and imports. A Premium tier removes the limits. This function defines the cost structure and usage boundaries of the service.
  • Multilingual support. The application interface and content are available in English, Italian, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. This function serves users across several European language communities.
  • Privacy-oriented server architecture. Servers and database are hosted in Switzerland with backups in Paris. AI and search requests are processed server-side, so the device IP address is not exposed to third-party AI providers. No ads and no tracking are present. This function addresses data protection and anonymity requirements.

Beviamolo was created as a dedicated tool for wine cellar organisation, with development starting in the early 2020s. The project was founded by a small team of developers and wine enthusiasts based in Switzerland and Italy, who wanted to combine artificial intelligence with practical cellar management. The application was written in Dart using the Flutter framework, which allowed a single codebase to target Android, Windows and Linux. The first public release appeared on Google Play and the Microsoft Store, followed by the Snap Store. Development continues with attention to data privacy, server-side AI processing and multilingual support.
