Universal File Opening. The core capability of File Viewer Plus is its ability to open over 400 distinct file formats without requiring separate third-party applications. This covers documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, images, audio, video, archives, CAD drawings, embroidery designs, source code, and binary data. When a file is opened, the program selects the appropriate internal viewer module and renders the content for inspection. Files without recognized extensions can be analyzed and identified by the built-in file identification engine, which examines internal structure and signatures.
Document Editing and Creation. File Viewer Plus includes editing tools for Microsoft Office formats such as DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, and PPTX. Users can create new documents from scratch, modify existing ones, apply formatting, and save changes in the original format or export to another supported document type. This removes the requirement for a separate office suite when performing basic document adjustments or generating new text and spreadsheet files.
