Window capture with native effects. Captures windows while preserving their actual shape, including rounded corners, titlebar transparency, and native shadows from Aero Glass on Windows 7 through Mica Material on Windows 11. The tool removes the original system shadow and lets you apply a custom shadow with adjustable color, size, direction, and opacity.
Multi-object capture mode. Allows selecting several windows, dialogs, popup menus, buttons, and other UI elements at the same time. Hold CTRL to pick multiple objects in Object mode, and WinSnap combines them into a single image with transparent spacing between items.
Multi-region capture mode. Enables capturing multiple rectangular screen areas in one operation. You can mark several regions while holding CTRL, which is practical for documenting separate parts of a long webpage or comparing different sections of an application.
Fixed-size region capture. Lets you define exact pixel dimensions for screen region captures. This is helpful for producing consistent screenshot series, such as documentation images, UI previews, or repeated captures of the same interface area.
PNG transparency and alpha-channel support. Saves screenshots with transparent backgrounds so that empty space between windows and popup elements remains see-through. Shadows and reflections are stored as semi-transparent pixels, which allows direct pasting into Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, or OneNote when Microsoft Office is installed.
