  • Bit-Perfect WASAPI Exclusive Mode. This function routes audio directly to the digital-to-analog converter, bypassing the Windows mixer, limiter, and all system processing. The result is a native resolution stream that preserves the original sample rate and bit depth, supporting up to 32-bit, 384kHz PCM and native DSD. This mode eliminates unwanted resampling, channel mixing, and dynamic range compression that can alter the sound signature of high-resolution files.
  • AutoEQ Headphone Calibration Database. The program includes an integrated database of over 4,000 headphone and in-ear monitor correction profiles. Each profile is based on the Harman target curve, which represents a scientifically derived acoustic preference. Applying a profile compensates for frequency response irregularities in a specific headphone model, resulting in a more neutral and accurate listening experience without manual adjustment.
  • Parametric Equalizer with Visualization. A 5-band and 10-band biquad filter system allows precise control over frequency response. Each filter can be set to peaking, low-shelf, high-shelf, low-pass, or high-pass. The interface displays a real-time logarithmic curve that updates as filter parameters are changed.   • Japanese Romaji and Translation Engine. For tracks containing Japanese Kanji or Kana, a single click converts the text to Romaji. The same action provides a real-time translation for foreign language lyrics. The translation is displayed directly beneath the original text in the lyrics panel, allowing bilingual reading without external tools.
  • Floating Desktop Lyrics HUD. A transparent overlay shows synchronized lyrics above all windows. Pressing Alt+L activates Click-Through Mode, which makes the overlay ignore mouse events. The user can continue working or playing fullscreen games while lyrics remain visible without interfering with clicks underneath.
  • Dynamic Album Glow and Liquid-Glass Interface. The entire application window adapts its background and accent colors based on the dominant hues of the currently playing album art. The unified queue system treats local and remote tracks as identical entities, allowing queue reordering, shuffling, and repeat modes across sources without switching contexts.
  • Lossless Tag and Art Editor. The built-in metadata editor is powered by a native Rust library named Lofty. It writes metadata directly into ID3, FLAC, and MP4 containers without re-encoding the audio stream. High-resolution cover art can be embedded losslessly, and tags can be batch-edited across multiple selected files.
  • DLNA and UPnP Hi-Fi Casting. Uncompressed PCM audio can be streamed to compatible smart televisions, AV receivers, and Wi-Fi speakers on the local network. The casting process maintains the original sample rate and bit depth without transcoding to a lossy format. Volume control and playback transport commands are sent to the renderer device.
  • Aideo Connect LAN Remote. Playback control is accessible from any mobile web browser on the same local network. No additional application installation is required on the phone or tablet.   • Silence-Gated Loudness Normalizer. Volume leveling follows the EBU R128 standard for perceived loudness. A silence gate prevents the normalizer from boosting noise during quiet passages.   • Surround Silence Routing. For 5.1 and 7.1 speaker configurations, silent channels are correctly routed to avoid unwanted upmixing artifacts. Stereo separation is preserved at 100 percent. This ensures that a stereo file played through a multichannel DAC does not leak content into center or rear speakers.
  • Zero Idle CPU and Battery Mode. All visual animations and dynamic effects automatically pause when the window is minimized or when playback is paused. Idle CPU usage drops to 0.0 percent. The first version of Aideo Music Player appeared in 2023 as a private build for testing Tauri v2 capabilities on Windows. The application is written in Rust for the core audio engine and React 19 for the user interface. Tauri v2 serves as the binding layer between the web frontend and native system APIs.
